Can’t send SMS
errors
To confirm if you can send out
messages, try the following steps.
1. Send a test SMS to a friend or family.
2. Check if you have the required SMS balance.
To check your balance, follow
the steps given by your operator.

Common device
issues
To find out if the issue is with
your device, try the following steps.
1. Make sure that your device has a mobile network
signal.
2. Make sure that Aeroplane mode is off.
3. Confirm that your SIM card registered with your
bank is inserted.
4. Turn off your device, then turn it on again.
5. Try again.
New SIM card
or phone number
If you have a new SIM card, or
recently ported a phone number to your SIM card, wait up to 48 hours and try
again.
Dual SIM cards
1. For Dual SIM devices, make sure the SMS is sent
from the phone number that's registered with your bank account.
2. To make sure the SMS is sent out through the SIM
card or phone number associated with your bank account:
a. Go to Settings > Search for
your SIM card settings.
b. Under “Dual SIM settings,” check which SIM card the
SMS messages go out from.
c. If it’s set to “Ask every time,” select the SIM
associated with your bank account.
Roaming
If you’re not in India, in your
Android device settings, turn on SMS for your roaming SIM card.

Refresh your
SMS Service Centre (SMSC)
To make sure that your SMSC number
is correct, refresh it.
1. On your phone, dial *#*#4636#*#*.
2. Tap Phone information.
3. Under “SMSC,” tap Refresh.

1. On your mobile device, open the Settings app.
