Error when you add or restore a bank account on Google Pay
When you add a form of payment on Google Pay, you must first:
- Activate
mobile banking services for your bank account.
- Confirm
if your Google Pay phone number is the same as the number registered with
your bank account.
- Check if you’re able to receive credit
or debit messages from the bank on your Google Pay phone number.
- If you can’t, the registered phone
number for your bank account may be different.
- To update your details, contact your
bank.

Activate
mobile banking facilities
SBI
You can activate mobile banking through:
- Mobile handset
- SBI ATM or SBI branches
- OnlineSBI
To check what’s applicable to you, learn more about the
registration process.
Mobile handset
1.
Send an SMS that says “<MBSREG>” to 9223440000 or 567676. You’ll
receive a text message with the app link, User ID, and default MPIN.
2.
Download the app.
3.
Change MPIN.
4.
Complete registration process at the ATM, SBI branch, or OnlineSBI.
At the branch
Once handset validation is done, to
complete the registration at the home branch of your account, fill up the
required form. Your account will immediately be activated for mobile banking

At the ATM
1.
Swipe the debit card into the ATM.
2.
Select Mobile Registration > Mobile Banking > Registration.
3.
Enter your mobile number.
4.
Select Yes > Confirm.
5.
Collect the transaction slip as proof of registration.
6.
You’ll receive a text message that confirms the activation of your
account.
You can now use the services offered under the
Mobile Banking Service.
OnlineSBI
Important: Ensure
that the MPIN is changed, and you receive a message that handset validation is
completed.
1.
Sign in to OnlineSBI with your User ID and default MPIN.
2.
Select eServices > State Bank Freedom.
3.
Select Registration. The list of
accounts that are available to you will show.
4.
Select the account to enable for Mobile Banking Service and submit. This
will be the primary account for the service.

HDFC
1.
Fom the Google Play Store or App Store, download the HDFC Netbanking app.
2.
To access mobile banking services, use the same username and PIN you use
for internet banking.
3.
Under the “Enter Your Details” tab, enter your Customer ID and the
registered mobile number.
4.
Tap Continue.

You’ll receive an OTP at the registered mobile number.
5.
Under the “Enter OTP'' tab, enter the OTP within 30 seconds.
6.
Tap Continue.
7.
Enter your ATM PIN, debit card expiry month, and year.
8.
Tap Continue.
Tips:
To set up a quick access PIN on the app, on
the home screen, click the button.
- You can set a 4-digit quick access PIN.
- You can choose to enable fingerprints as a way to authorize
yourself.
ICICI
To register yourself for the Mobile Banking
Service, you can follow either of these options:
- Register for Mobile
Banking at any ICICI Bank ATM branch.
- Visit the nearest branch
of ICICI Bank with any valid proof of identity. For more details, contact
your bank.
PNB
To activate mobile banking, download PNB
ONE from the Google Play Store or App Store.
Once downloaded:
1.
Click New user.
2.
Enter your Customer ID.

You can find your Customer ID in the front page of your passbook.
3.
Enter the OTP.
4.
Enter your debit card details and linked account number.
5.
Set your password.
Once you’ve successfully registered:
1.
Sign in with your User ID.
2.
Set a 4-digit MPIN.
BOB
To activate mobile banking facilities, use
one of the following channels:
- Self-registration with
your debit card details.
- This is available for
Android users only.
- Baroda Connect Internet Banking
1.
Click Login > Services > Mobile Banking (BoB World).
2.
Grant mandatory permissions like location, phone, and SMS as and when
prompted.
3.
Click Login and follow the
onscreen steps.
4.
Accept “Terms & Conditions.”
5.
Enter the 4-digit activation key that you receive on your registered
mobile number.
6.
Create your own transaction and login PINs.
- Home branch
- Submit a duly filled
registration form for Mobile Banking.
Tip: Accounts
with modes of operation as “Anyone or Survivor” can be registered from the home
branch only. Channels like self-registration, ATM, and internet banking can’t
be used.
