Chapter 592 – Before the sun comes up (4)

The man next to Jo Min Yeh stiffened up.

He opened his mouth to speak.

"…How do you know the number of survivors from our original shelter-"

The auditorium had become silent. The people slowly started to realize the meaning behind the numbers Cale was mentioning after hearing Kim Tae Hoo's comment.

Everybody here were leaders or chief executives of the newly created central shelters.

That meant that the chances of them being leaders or people in charge of an original central shelter or smaller shelters were high.

The people Cale had just called had all been leaders of the now destroyed original shelters.

Kim Tae Hoo instantly started to sweat.

'176 people. That's the number of people who survived from our shelter!'

The numbers Cale was saying was the number of people who managed to survive through the hell that had appeared when the original shelters were destroyed.

Of course, there were more people in the new central shelter where Kim Tae Hoo was the leader.

But that was the number of people who had made it out of his original shelter.

"…How did you?"

'How does this person know about that?'

Cale started to speak again as the ability users started to stiffen up.

He was looking at the man next to Kim Tae Hoo.

"Ability user Park Young Hoon. You had quite a lot of survivors. 412 people."

Park Young Hoon's jaw dropped.

Cale looked at the people who couldn't hide their shocks and held in the bitterness he was feeling.

Kang Il-Rae, Jo Min Yeh, Kim Tae Hoo, and Park Young Hoon.

He didn't know what these people had experienced when their original shelters had fallen.

What monsters appeared, what buildings were destroyed…

How these people managed to survive…

He didn't know about any of that.

Cale remembered what happened around Korea on that day but had not been there to record it.

But he did remember the numbers.

Numbers were data that could give an overview of what had happened even without knowing the details.

The number of survivors from the original central shelters.

That hellish time had been recorded on a few sheets of A4 paper.

It did not record the number of dead people.

They could not check those numbers.

There were too many people.

When the world first experienced the cataclysm…

Quite a lot of people had died.

Then, when the original shelters crumbled…

Humanity faced danger once again.

That was the reason that the new central shelters that could fit tens of thousands of people had less than 10,000 total occupants.

This was why only the number of survivors were recorded.

There weren't any records of you if you died.

The original central shelters…

Cale slowly looked around at the people who had been leaders of those shelters as he started to speak again.

"Do I need to keep going?"

The entire auditorium was quiet.

Jo Min Yeh quietly started to speak.

"Is this the power of foresight?"

The number of survivors.

That wasn't enough to claim it to be foresight.

But she had no other word than foresight to describe how this man who looked like a teenager could know the number of survivors from shelters around the country.

Kang Il-Rae, who was next to Jo Min Yeh, was keeping his mouth shut as he glared at Cale with a piercing gaze.

Cale looked around before continuing to speak.

"I guess I will stop there."

Cale was standing at the center of the platform. Choi Han was by the wall of the auditorium and looking around as if he was Cale's guard.

Cale started to speak.

"I'm sure that not everybody here feels the same way as I do. Some of you probably just came for information and there may be some of you who will fight with us here in Seomyeon, but many of you likely do not wish to do so."

'Why should I fight with them to kill an unranked monster in Seomyeon? Why do I need to do that? It's hard enough for me to survive. It's hard enough to care for our people.'

There were many thoughts going through people's mind even without Cale having to say so.

Everybody was aware of that fact.

But the atmosphere inside the auditorium quickly changed.

"I will now make a prophecy."

Prophecy.

That magical word caught people's attention.

"The future."

Cale wasn't actually making a prophecy; he was just telling them the things he experienced.

"Population will start to expand once more through these new central shelters and people will start to create a social system once again."

Some people nodded their heads.

These were the people who had recognized the defensive strength and expansive capabilities of the new central shelters.

"Furthermore, ability users will develop their abilities even more. Beyond that, there is data."

Cale gently continued to speak with a smile on his face.

"We will gain data by facing these monsters and we will be able to hunt monsters with a sense of organization."

The people who had felt chills at Cale's ability just now were starting to look better.

"When that happens, people will start to expand our territory once again; similar to what our ancestors had done, starting from the area around this shelter."

More people were now nodding their heads.

That seemed to be what they want in the future as well.

"The destroyed environment will slowly start to return to normal."

Cale stopped after saying that.

He needed to lead as many people, if not all of them, there.

The selfish people, the greedy people, even they needed to come.

He needed all of them to experience taking down an unranked monster.

That was the only way to give them the data to survive the uncertain future.

Because of that…

Cale continued to speak with a smile on his face.

"Half of you here will die in order for us to get to that point."

Silence filled the auditorium and it felt as if it had suddenly gotten many degrees colder.

Cale still had a smile on his face as he continued to speak.

"Over half of you will die."

That was the truth.

That was the future that Cale had experienced.

"Altruistic people will die. Selfish people will die. People who were chasing after greed, going after the greater good, sacrificing themselves, running away on their own, all sorts of people will die."

The smile disappeared from his face.

"All of that will happen in the next 15 years."

Cale looked down at the people underneath the platform.

"But I wish to change what I saw through my foresight."

Kang Il-Rae started to speak again.

"…How can you change something that you saw through foresight?"

Cale made eye contact with Kang Il-Rae.

Kang Il-Rae flinched after seeing the gaze of the person he had called a child.

Cale, the man with an unfathomably deep gaze, started to speak again.

"0 people."

Before people could even think about the meaning behind that number…

"That's the number of people who died at the original central shelter I was at."

People started to gasp in response.

This was not the number of survivors but the number of deceased people.

Nobody had died.

"Originally, less than 100 people would have survived."

That was the record of the past that Kim Rok Soo had experienced.

"But the present had changed and therefore, the future has changed."

Kim Rok Soo and the others had changed it.

"I hope that everybody here is able to survive."

He really meant it.

Why?

"The more we shape the foundation to expand the number of people, the more chances humanity has for survival."

He wanted to save as many people as possible.

Some of them would go on to become the worst possible people, but he just had to pass a list with the names of those people to Lee Soo Hyuk and say that it was the result of his 'foresight.'

Lee Soo Hyuk was strong enough to look after those people and make sure they don't end up on that path.

"Have you heard this phrase?"

Cale started to again smile.

"Nothing beats numbers."

Whether the unranked monsters were strong or not, whether monsters continued to appear…

"That's right. There's nothing. There are no monsters that can win when going up against a large number of people."

That was how humans managed to survive in the future.

The people in Kim Rok Soo's memories would overcome everything.

"The unranked monsters are the greatest enemies for humans to recreate society in the future."

Everybody was focused on what Cale had to say.

"Why? It is because they are monsters with unbelievable strength that can destroy the new central shelters."

His voice was quieter but it was still loud enough for everybody in the quiet auditorium to hear.

"And because you don't know when that enemy might attack where you are."

That meant that they could die whenever and wherever because of a strong enemy with unfathomable strength.

The weight of Cale's words was heavy to these people who were slowly starting to trust what Cale had to say.

One of the people who were listening urgently shouted out.

"That! You can just use your foresight to tell us!"
"Who knows when I will die?"

The person who asked flinched and closed his mouth.

Kim Woo and Heo Sook Ja. The two of them, as well as Choi Han's gazes were headed toward Cale.

"My foresight is not omnipotent. I can only see a sliver of the future and even I don't know when I will die. That is why I can only move in the best possible direction."

Heo Sook Ja, who had been listening, started to speak.

"…The best possible direction..."

At that moment…

Boom.

Cale lightly stomped his foot.

Everybody focused on him once again.

"I will now give all of you an opportunity."

Opportunity. That word made people's expressions change.

Cale looked at the changes in each of their expressions as he continued to speak.

"The way to defeat an unranked monster."

The way to defeat a formidable enemy with unfathomable strength.

"I will give you the opportunity to experience the way to take them down. That experience will exponentially increase all of your chances of surviving the unpredictable future."

Cale no longer looked like a feeble kid as he stood at the center of the platform.

He reached his hand out toward the people and continued to speak.

"Will you take this opportunity?"

The air inside the auditorium was heating up and as the silence looked ready to be broken…

"Ah. Let me tell you one more fact."

Cale nonchalantly added on.

"As long as I am here, this Busan central shelter will not be destroyed like the original shelters you all have experienced."

Some people flinched.

0 people dead. Cale's words echoed in their minds.

If they fought with him this time, they might be able to learn the way to save all of the people in their shelters with 0 people dead in the future as well.

The strong individuals from throughout the country were all gathered here.

It would be hard to find this many strong people anywhere else.

If they were with all these people?

Wouldn't it be a bit safer?

As Kim Rok Soo mentioned, wasn't this the opportunity to fight against an unranked monster in the safest possible situation?

"Furthermore, the people here will fight while looking at my back the most, at least for this battle."

That meant that he would be in the front fighting more than anybody else.

"I will let you experience victory instead of experiencing just survival for the first time in a long while."

Cale's words felt like thunder to these people who had barely managed to survive through difficult times and were doing their best to continue to survive in the future.

Experiencing victory.

They would be victorious against these motherfucking monsters that had dragged them to hell for the past few months that felt like an eternity.

They would be victorious against one of the strongest monsters at that.

Some of their expressions started to change even faster.

Cale started to look bigger to the people inside the hall who were looking at his outreached hand.

"Please make your decision."

Cale was done speaking and it was now time to hear their responses.

Screeeech.

One person stood up after a moment.

Screech, screech-.

More people started to stand up as well.

None of them were vocalizing the fact that they would fight with him, but it didn't matter.

Heo Sook Ja clenched her fist while watching them.

It looked as if they would easily surpass one third or even half of the people in the auditorium at this rate.

She then looked back toward Cale.

'I guess we won't even need to discuss the matter of making him the commander.'

Their original plan was to convince everybody that Kim Rok Soo was the best person to be the commander for this plan to take down the unranked monster.

But he had said that the Busan shelter would not be destroyed as long as he was here.

He had said that he would fight in front of everybody.

He had said that he would give them the opportunity to experience victory.

Cale was already the commander and the leader of this place by saying that.

1. What are WhatsApp Group Links?

WhatsApp Group Links are unique invitation links that allow you to join specific WhatsApp groups. These links act as an entry point, granting you access to conversations and interactions happening within those groups.

Here's a breakdown of the concept:

1. Groups in WhatsApp:

  • WhatsApp allows creating groups where multiple people can chat, share messages, photos, videos, and other media.
  • These groups can be private (invite-only) or public (discoverable through search).

2. Invitation Links:

  • For private groups, admins can generate unique invitation links.
  • Anyone clicking on this link and having WhatsApp installed can join the group directly.
  • Sharing these links is a convenient way to invite specific individuals or spread the word about the group.

3. Finding Group Links:

  • Group admins might share the link directly with individuals they want to invite.
  • Some websites e.g. GroupChatOn, Group4WhatsUp and apps compile and list publicly available group links categorized by interests, topics, or regions. However, be cautious of such sources, as the legitimacy and content of these groups can vary.

Important points to remember:

  • Joining a group through a link adds you to the conversation, and your messages become visible to other members.
  • It's crucial to be mindful of the content you share and the groups you join, as some might not be appropriate or safe.
  • Exercise caution when clicking on links from untrusted sources, as they might lead to malicious groups or scams.

I hope this explanation clarifies the concept of WhatsApp Group Links. If you have any further questions, feel free to ask!

2. How to join WhatsApp Group?

There are two main ways to join a WhatsApp group:

1. Through Invite Link:

This is the most common method. If you have been invited to a group, you will receive a link from the group admin. Clicking on this link will open WhatsApp and prompt you to join the group. Here's how it works:

  • Click on the invite link. This will open WhatsApp, either on your phone or desktop app.
  • Review the group information. This includes the group name, description, and admin details.
  • Tap "Join group" to confirm you want to join.

2. By Requesting to Join:

Some groups are private and require approval from the admin before you can join. In such cases, you might need to:

  • Contact the group admin directly. This could be someone you know or someone you find through the group's social media page or website (if available).
  • Request to join the group. Explain why you're interested in joining and provide any relevant information the admin might need.
  • Wait for approval. The admin will decide whether to accept or reject your request.

Additional ways to find groups:

  • Online directories: Several websites and apps list public WhatsApp groups categorized by interests. However, be cautious when joining groups from untrusted sources, as they might be spam or contain inappropriate content.
  • Social media groups: Look for groups related to your interests on platforms like Facebook or Reddit. Sometimes, these groups might have links to their corresponding WhatsApp groups.

Important points to remember:

  • Only join groups from trusted sources. Avoid clicking on links from unknown senders or joining groups with suspicious activities.
  • Be mindful of group rules. Each group might have its own set of rules and guidelines. It's important to respect these rules to maintain a positive and respectful environment within the group.
  • Consider leaving if necessary. If you no longer find the group valuable or experience any negativity, you can always leave the group by going to the group info and tapping "Exit group."

I hope this explanation helps! Let me know if you have any other questions.

3. How to Share WhatsApp Group Links?

Sharing WhatsApp group links is a convenient way to invite others to join your group. Here's how you can do it on both Android and iOS devices:

1. Through QR Code:

  • Open the WhatsApp group chat.
  • Tap on the group name at the top.
  • Look for the option "Invite to Group via Link" or "Invite to Group with Link."
  • Choose "QR Code" from the available options.
  • This will generate a QR code for your group.
  • Anyone who scans this code with their WhatsApp camera will be able to join the group.
  • Tap "Share" to send the QR code image to others through various platforms like email, social media, or messaging apps.

2. Sharing the Link:

  • Follow steps 1 and 2 mentioned above in the QR code method.
  • Instead of choosing "QR Code," select "Share link" or "Copy link."
  • This will either share the link directly through WhatsApp with your chosen contacts or copy it to your clipboard.
  • You can then paste the copied link into any platform like email, social media posts, or messages to invite others to join.

Additional Notes:

  • Only group admins can generate and share invite links.
  • The link generated is unique to each group and can be revoked by the admin at any time. This will create a new link, rendering the old one invalid.
  • Anyone with the link can join the group, so be cautious about sharing it publicly. Consider sharing it only with trusted individuals or within controlled environments.

I hope this helps! Let me know if you have any other questions.

  • People can find your channel through search, by being invited by existing subscribers, or by scanning your channel's QR code.
  • As the channel owner, you can manage who can see your channel, control who can join as admins, and edit your channel information.

Here are some important things to keep in mind when creating a WhatsApp channel:

  • Content focus: Clearly define the purpose and target audience for your channel to attract relevant subscribers.
  • Quality content: Regularly share engaging and informative content to keep your audience interested.
  • Spam prevention: Avoid excessive or irrelevant content that might overwhelm subscribers.
  • Community guidelines: Adhere to WhatsApp's community guidelines to avoid potential channel suspension.

I hope this explanation helps you create and manage your WhatsApp channel effectively!

6. How to create a WhatsApp Broadcast?

  • Recipients will receive your message as a regular individual chat, but they won't see who else is on the broadcast list.
  • Remember to use broadcasts responsibly and avoid spamming your contacts with unwanted messages.

I hope this helps! Let me know if you have any other questions.

7. What is member limit for WhatsApp Group?

As of November 2022, the member limit for a WhatsApp group is 1024. This is an increase from the previous limit of 512 members.

Here's a quick breakdown:

  • Previous limit: 512 members
  • Current limit: 1024 members

It's important to note that this limit applies to manually adding members to a group. When using a group invite link, there's no technical limit to the number of people who can join the group. However, it's still recommended to manage the group size effectively to avoid overwhelming participants and maintain a manageable conversation flow.

8. How to Unblock WhatsApp Account?

Unfortunately, there's no guaranteed way to unblock your WhatsApp account if it's been banned. However, depending on the reason for the ban, you might have a few options:

1. Re-register your phone number:

  • This method only works in specific cases and might not always be successful.
  • Steps:
    • Uninstall and re-download the WhatsApp app.
    • During registration, enter the blocked phone number.
    • Enter the 6-digit registration code.
    • If your account is still banned, wait 30 days and try again.

2. Apply for review:

  • This option is available if you believe your account was banned unfairly.
  • Steps:
    • Download and install the WhatsApp app again.
    • Open the app and enter the blocked phone number.
    • Click "Support" when prompted.
    • Enter the 6-digit verification code.
    • Fill out the review application form and provide any supporting information explaining why you think your account was banned incorrectly.
  • Note: It can take several days for WhatsApp to review your request.

Important points to remember:

  • Understanding the reason for the ban: Knowing why your account was banned is crucial. Common reasons include sending illegal content, spamming, using unauthorized apps, or violating WhatsApp's terms of service.
  • Following WhatsApp's guidelines: If your account was banned for violating their terms, it's essential to understand and follow them to avoid future issues.
  • Limited success: There's no guarantee that either of these methods will work. In some cases, WhatsApp might decide to permanently ban your account.

Alternatives:

  • If you're unable to recover your banned account, consider creating a new WhatsApp account with a different phone number. However, remember that repeatedly violating WhatsApp's terms can lead to further bans.

It's crucial to use WhatsApp responsibly and avoid any actions that might lead to account suspension or ban.

9. Why my WhatsApp Account got blocked?

Unfortunately, I cannot determine the specific reason why your WhatsApp account got blocked. However, I can share some common reasons why WhatsApp bans accounts:

  • Violating WhatsApp's Terms of Service: This includes activities like sending illegal content (hate speech, violence, etc.), spamming other users, using unauthorized modified apps, and excessive broadcast messages.
  • Sending inappropriate content: This could involve sharing harmful, threatening, hateful, or discriminatory content.
  • Spamming: Repeatedly sending unsolicited messages to others can lead to account bans.
  • Using unauthorized third-party apps: WhatsApp doesn't support modified versions of their app, and using such apps can violate their terms and lead to bans.
  • Being reported by other users: If a significant number of users report your account for abusive or suspicious activity, WhatsApp might take action.

If you believe your account was banned unfairly, you can try contacting WhatsApp support and explain your situation. They might review your case and decide to unblock your account.

Here's how to contact WhatsApp support:

  1. Download and install the WhatsApp app again.
  2. Open the app and enter the blocked phone number.
  3. Click "Support" when prompted.
  4. Enter the 6-digit verification code.
  5. Fill out the review application form and provide any supporting information explaining why you think your account was banned incorrectly.

Remember, it can take several days for WhatsApp to review your request.

It's important to use WhatsApp responsibly and follow their community guidelines to avoid getting your account banned in the future.

10. Which is better WhatsApp or Telegram or Signal?

Determining which app is "better" depends on your individual priorities and needs. Here's a breakdown of their strengths and weaknesses to help you choose:

Signal:

  • Strengths:
    • Strongest focus on privacy and security: End-to-end encryption by default for all messages and calls, open-source code, no data collection or sharing with third parties.
    • Disappearing messages: Option to set messages to disappear after a specific time frame.
    • Simple and user-friendly interface.
  • Weaknesses:
    • Smaller user base compared to WhatsApp and Telegram: This might limit who you can connect with.
    • Fewer features compared to the other two: Lacks features like large group chats, channels, and advanced media editing options.

Telegram:

  • Strengths:
    • Large user base: Easier to connect with a wider range of people.
    • Feature-rich: Offers various features like large group chats (up to 200,000 members), channels (broadcasting to large audiences), bots, and advanced media editing options.
    • Cloud-based storage: Access messages from any device with internet access.
  • Weaknesses:
    • Weaker focus on privacy: End-to-end encryption is only available for "secret chats," not the default messaging option. Some user data is collected and stored on servers.
    • Concerns about potential for misuse: Due to its large user base and some features, Telegram can be misused for spreading misinformation or illegal content.

WhatsApp:

  • Strengths:
    • Largest user base by far: Most convenient for connecting with the widest range of people.
    • Familiar and user-friendly interface for many users.
    • End-to-end encryption for messages and calls: Provides a good level of privacy for communication.
  • Weaknesses:
    • Privacy concerns: Owned by Meta (formerly Facebook), raising concerns about data collection and potential future changes to privacy policies.
    • Limited features compared to Telegram: Lacks features like channels, bots, and advanced media editing options.

Choosing the right app:

  • If privacy is your top priority, Signal is the clear winner.
  • If you need a feature-rich app with a large user base and are comfortable with a slightly weaker focus on privacy, Telegram might be a good option.
  • If you prioritize connecting with the most people and are comfortable with the current level of privacy offered by WhatsApp, it can still be a suitable choice.

Ultimately, the best app for you depends on your individual needs and priorities. Consider what factors are most important to you and choose the app that best aligns with those criteria.

11. How to remove your WhatsApp group link from any website?

Once you have submitted your WhatsApp group invite link to any website then you cannot remove by yourself. So, it is better that you simply "Reset" your WhatsApp group link and people will no longer be able to join your group from your previous shared group links. Whenever they try to join via your old WhatsApp group join link it will show them that the link had been revoked by the group admin. I hope you understand.

12. Does Signal also have Group Chat features?

Yes, Signal does have group chat features. Here's an overview:

Creating a Group:

  • Open the Signal app and tap on the "New group" option.
  • Select the contacts you want to add to the group.
  • Enter a group name and choose an optional disappearing message timer.
  • Tap "Create" to finalize the group creation.

Group Features:

  • Group size limit: Up to 1000 members can be added to a Signal group.
  • End-to-end encryption: All messages and calls within the group are encrypted by default, ensuring privacy.
  • Group info and settings: Admins can edit the group name, description, and photo. They can also control who can edit group info, send messages, and start calls.
  • @mentions: You can mention specific members within the group chat by using the "@" symbol followed by their username.
  • Disappearing messages: Admins can set a timer for messages to disappear automatically after a chosen duration.

The member limit for a Signal Group is 1000. This means you can add up to 1000 participants to a single group chat in Signal.

It's important to note that unlike WhatsApp which offers unlimited group size through invite links, Signal groups require members to be explicitly added by an admin or join through a specific group link. This helps maintain control over group size and potentially reduces the risk of spam or unwanted additions.

Here are some additional points to consider regarding Signal group size:

  • Larger groups might experience performance limitations: While Signal supports groups of up to 1000 members, very large groups can lead to slower message delivery or loading times, especially for devices with limited resources.
  • Managing large groups can be challenging: As group size increases, it becomes more difficult for admins to effectively manage discussions, ensure everyone feels heard, and prevent potential conflicts.
  • Consider smaller groups for optimal experience: For a more focused and engaging group experience, it's often recommended to keep group sizes smaller, especially for private or close-knit communities.

Ultimately, the ideal group size depends on your specific needs and purposes. If you need a large group for broadcasting information or facilitating discussions with a wider audience, Signal can still be a suitable option. However, for more personal or interactive group communication, keeping the size manageable might be beneficial.
