- Link up to four devices and one phone to their account.
- Name their linked devices.
- See the name of the device that was used to send a message.
- Tap More Options > Linked devices.
- Tap LINK A DEVICE > OK.
- Point your phone at the screen of the device you want to link and scan the QR code.
- Go to Settings in the WhatsApp Business app.
- Tap Linked Devices > Link a Device.
- Unlock your phone if you're on iOS 14 or newer:
- Use Touch ID or Face ID to unlock.
- If you don't have biometric authentication enabled, you'll be prompted to enter the pin you use to unlock your phone.
- Point your phone at the screen of the device you want to link and scan the QR code.
- Tap More Options > Linked devices.
- Tap on a linked device.
- Tap on the Device name field to edit the device name.
- Go to Settings in the WhatsApp Business app.
- Tap Linked Devices.
- Tap on a linked device.
- Tap on the Device name field to edit the device name.
- Open a chat.
- Hold a message > tap Info.
- See which device was used to send the message.
- Open a chat.
- Hold a message > tap More....
- See which device was used to send the message.
- Your phone won’t need to stay online to use WhatsApp Business on linked devices, but if you don’t use your phone for over 14 days, your linked devices will become disconnected.
- You’ll still need to register your WhatsApp Business account and link new devices with your phone.
- Clearing or deleting chats on linked devices if your primary device is an iPhone.
- Messaging or calling someone who is using a very old version of WhatsApp on their phone.
- Using tablets.
- Viewing live location on linked devices.
- Creating and viewing broadcast lists on linked devices.
